College Clinics continue for Premier Girls Program

Throughout the week of March 15th through 23rd, the Premier Girls Program continued to have college coaches in to work with various teams in the club. Last week we had University of Georgia, University of Washington, Texas Tech and UNLV all with the Premier teams  at Kellogg Zaher.  This week University of Texas, Texas Tech, University of Louisiana- Monroe and Southern Methodist University (SMU) were all out at KZ throughout the week watching, scouting and working with teams from our 93- 98’s. The 98 White and Black teams had a clinic with 2 coaches, Tom Stone and Aaron Gordon  from Texas Tech.  The 98 Black team was also trained by, Steve Nugent, Coach of University of Georgia. The 94 White, 95 White, 95 Red, and 95 Black also had sessions attended by University of Washington coaches Leslie Gallimore and Jim Thomas, and also, University of Georgia coach Steve Nugent.

The Premier Directors are committed to continue to expose players of every age in the club to college coaches.  We will continue to have coaches come out and run clinics with teams throughout the year.

FOUR LV PREMIER GIRLS TEAMS COMPETE AT THE HIGHEST YOUTH LEVEL

Play continues at US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Winter Interregional

Premier girls 95 White team wins bracket in Far West regional League and moves forward to the Regional Final Four. They compete in Temecula, CA next weekend, November 21, 2009 to win the Fall Season FWRL Championship and an automatic berth to Far West Regionals. McKenzie ’Jammer’ Karas (Premier 95 White) has been selected to represent the US U15 National Team in the Thanksgiving  Inter regional event this month in Florida, Nov. 20-27, 2009. U.S. head coach Mike Dickey brings 24 players to Florida for four matches, two against ODP Regional teams that are a year older and two against the Costa Rican Under-17 Women’s National Team. The LV Premier SC invites you to submit an application for the 2010 LV Premier SC Invitational. The tournament will be held in Las Vegas, NV on March 26-28, 2010.   Only local teams will play on Friday, March 26.

As you may have heard and seen, our approach with the introduction of UA soccer boots has been a patient and gradual process. It all started with players wearing all black boots with no logo. Part of the reason being is that these were only prototypes and still not completely cooked. I think this is a testimony to the type of performance driven, innovative product that UA continues to bring to the market and the fact that players of this level were willing to wear in their top flight matches.
